Disney Store Collections to Celebrate Milestone Anniversaries and Beloved Characters across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars

 

Disney Publishing Worldwide Announces D23 Expo 2017 Exclusive Titles, Presentations, and Author Signings

 

Pasadena, Calif. — June 20, 2017 – Disney Store today announced the new collections and Limited Edition sets to launch at this year’s D23 Expo 2017, Disney’s ultimate fan event held at the Anaheim Convention Center July 14–16. The never-before-seen collections celebrate milestone anniversaries and everyone’s favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars characters.

 

D23 Expo 2017 attendees will be introduced to the new Disney Designer Collection and get a first look at the newest collections debuting at this year’s event, including exclusive Disney Store pieces from Her Universe, the Art of Snow White collection, MXYZ Vinyl Mini Blind Box Collectibles, and, for the first time ever, a D23 Expo Marvel collection from Disney Store.

 

In addition to the chance to shop special products not yet available to the general public, fans will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists and designers who created these exciting new collections.

 

Highlights of the collections include:

 

·       Disney Designer Collection: Formerly known as the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection, the Disney Designer Collection takes the classic assortment beyond the fairytale to tell the iconic stories of Disney’s legacy of film history and introduces three series: Fairytale Series, Folktale Series, and Pixar Animation Studios Series. At the event, Guests will have the opportunity to purchase three of the new Limited Edition dolls:

o   Fairytale Series: Pinocchio (limited to an edition size of 1,023)

o   Folktale Series: Mulan (limited to an edition size of 523)

o   Pixar Animation Studios Series: The Incredibles (limited to an edition size of 1,023)

 

Guests at the event also will have the opportunity to preview and pre-purchase a set of the five Limited Edition dolls releasing at Disney Store locations and DisneyStore.com September – November (each limited to an edition size of 6,000):

o   Fairytale Series: The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Robin Hood

o   Folktale Series: Moana, One Hundred and One Dalmatians

 

·       Disney•Pixar: In partnership with John Lasseter and the Pixar Animation Studios team, the Disney Store shop at D23 Expo 2017 will offer a special collection featuring some favorite Pixar characters.

 

·       MXYZ Vinyl Mini Blind Box Collectibles: The newest vinyl blind box collection features eight iconic characters in the Disney Store MXYZ art style—perfect for collecting and trading. Retailing at $5 each, the mini-sized characters come with a key chain attachment to add a pop of fun and personalize accessories, bags, and more.

 

·       Star Wars: Fans won’t have to go to a galaxy far, far away to find an expansive assortment of Star Wars merchandise at D23 Expo 2017. The Disney Store shop will feature Star Wars apparel, accessories, drinkware, and, of course, collectibles. Notable highlights of the assortment are the Limited Edition Star Wars Elite Series Premium Action Figures, featuring iconic Hero and Villain duos: Princess Leia and Darth Vader; Rey and Kylo Ren; and Jyn Erso and Director Orson Krennic. Each duo retails for $79.95 and is limited to an edition size of 1,000.

 

·       Milestone Anniversaries: Disney Store will celebrate three milestone anniversaries at D23 Expo 2017: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit’s 90th, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ 80th, and Bambi’s 75th. Each anniversary will be celebrated with a special assortment.

 

·       Disney Tsum Tsum: Disney Tsum Tsum fans will be delighted with a new Limited Edition set released each day. Each unique set will bring Guests’ favorite characters and stories to life through adorable mini and micro Tsum Tsums.

 

·       Minnie Mouse Signature Collection: The next product installment of the beloved fashionista Minnie Mouse features a collection of apparel, accessories, and a Limited Edition doll of Minnie, stylish as always.

 

·       Marvel: For the first time ever, Disney Store will offer a Marvel collection at D23 Expo. The assortment includes Limited Edition collectibles, including a pin set, lithograph set, and ornament set.

 

·       Her Universe: Ashley Eckstein, founder of Her Universe, created exclusive pieces for Disney Store that will be available for the first time at D23 Expo 2017. The never-before-seen products are featured within the Minnie Signature, Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel collections.

 

D23, the official Disney fan club, is once again partnering with Disney Store to offer an array of fan favorite items at this year’s D23 Expo. Many items will proudly boast a D23 Expo 2017 stamp of approval seal, indicating it was made specifically for this year’s event, celebrating Disney’s amazing fans and the special Disney anniversaries and iconic collectibles Guests love—available first to all Guests at D23 Expo.

 

Artist Signings: Learn About the Magic Makers Behind Some of the New Collections

The product designers and artists will be available for autograph signings following their respective panels at the Oh My Disney stage, exclusively for Guests who purchase select products from the Disney Store shop at D23 Expo 2017:

Disney Store will offer a limited quantity of StorePass tickets per day in an effort to minimize wait times for our Guests who wish to shop. StorePass tickets will be available beginning at 9 a.m. each day at the StorePass desk located adjacent to the StagePass distribution area in Hall A. (May 17, 2017) – Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior will present one-of-a-kind experiences for kids and families during D23 Expo 2017, the ultimate Disney fan event, taking place FRIDAY, JULY 14SUNDAY, JULY 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The lineup includes star-studded Q&A panels featuring the talented voice casts of Disney XD’s highly anticipated DuckTales series and Disney Channel’s Tangled: The Series, plus a special appearance by the stars and director of the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants 2. Disney Channel and Disney XD cast members from Stuck in the Middle, Bizaardvark, K.C. Undercover, Walk the Prank, and MECH-X4will greet fans at the  D23 Expo’s Talent Central throughout the weekend.

 

The one-and-only Scrooge McDuck’s Money Bin, located on the show floor, will provide the priceless opportunity for fans to dive into more than 30,000 plastic gold coins and “swim” away with a professional 180-degree video capture to share with friends. The new DuckTales series premieres this summer on Disney XD, in the 30th anniversary year of the Emmy®Award-winning original series treasured by a generation.

 

On FRIDAY, JULY 14Descendants 2 stars Dove CameronCameron BoyceSofia Carson and Booboo Stewart, along with Kenny Ortega, the Emmy Award-winning director, executive producer, and choreographer, will make a special appearance.   

 

On SATURDAY, JULY 15, Disney XD’s DuckTales stars Ben Schwartz (the voice of Dewey), Kate Micucci (Webby Vanderquack), Beck Bennett (Launchpad McQuack), and Toks Olagundoye (Mrs. Beakley) will join executive producer Matt Youngberg and co-producer/story editor Francisco Angones for a Q&A panel taking place from 4:15– 5:15 p.m. on Stage 28.

 

On SUNDAY, JULY 16, fans are invited to join the stars and creative team of Disney Channel’s Tangled: The Series for a Q&A panel as they share some of the magic behind bringing the series to life.  Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, who reprise their roles as Rapunzel and Eugene (AKA Flynn Rider) from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ acclaimed feature film, will be joined by executive producer Chris Sonnenburg, co-executive producer Ben Balistreri, and Broadway stars Eden Espinosa (Cassandra) and Jeremy Jordan (Varian).  The panel will take place from 10:30–11:30 a.m. on Stage 28.

 

Fans of Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins are invited to visit McStuffins Toy Hospital Nursery, which will be on the Expo show floor during the entire three-day event. Young visitors can give the toy babies a checkup, as well as be among the first to play the new Doc McStuffins Baby app, set to launch this summer. The McStuffins Toy Hospital Nursery is part of Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit, a traveling museum exhibit designed to model “care and compassion” for kids ages 2-7 via immersive activities that reinforce the importance of health and well-being.

BURBANK, Calif., May 12, 2017 – Fans can meet their favorite stars from Freeform’s hit series The FostersShadowhunters, and Stitchers, along with cast from the new series The Bold Type at D23 Expo 2017, taking place July 14–16 at the Anaheim Convention Center. 

 

Members of The Fosters family, as well as cast from the sci-fi series Stitchers, the saga Shadowhunters, and the new series The Bold Type, will appear throughout the weekend in the “Talent Central” autograph area, located in Hall A. Shadowhunters returns for the second half of season two with Shadowhunters and Downworlders reeling from what happened at the New York Institute in the winter finale. As the rift between the two sides grows larger, the team and their Downworld friends and lovers are put in the middle of the dangerous divide. Torn between the Clave’s rules and what they feel is right, Clary, Jace, Alec, and Isabelle struggle to help forge a new beginning. Relationships will be tested, a new Shadowhunter named Sebastian will join the fray, and the Seelie Queen will step out of the shadows in the summer season.Shadowhunters is produced by Constantin Film and executive produced by Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, McG, Michael Reisz, Matt Hastings, Mary Viola, Martin Moszkowicz, and Robert Kulzer. The series stars Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Matthew Daddario, Isaiah Mustafa, and Harry Shum Jr. Shadowhunters midseason premiere will be MONDAY, JUNE 5, at 8 p.m. EDT.

 

On the upcoming season of fan favorite Stitchers, Kirsten and the Stitchers team hack into the minds of the recently deceased to investigate diverse and unusual cases spanning from international relations to within their own families. New relationships will develop while others will end, and the true purpose of the Stitchers program will be revealed. Stitchers is executive produced by Jeffrey Alan Schechter, Jonathan Baruch, and Rob Wolken. The series stars Emma Ishta, Kyle Harris, Ritesh Rajan, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Allison Scagliotti, and Damon Dayoub.Stitchers will return for its third season on MONDAY, JUNE 5, at 9 p.m. EDT.

 

The Fosters returns for its fifth season. Winner of a Television Academy Honors Award and GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series, The Fosters follows a multi-ethnic family mix of adopted and biological teenaged kids being raised by two moms. The drama’s fifth season will include the milestone 100th episode. The Fosters is executive produced by Jennifer Lopez and created by Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige, who also serve as executive producers and writers, along with Joanna Johnson. Greg Gugliotta, Elaine Goldsmith Thomas, and Benny Medina also serve as executive producers. The series stars Teri Polo, Sherri Saum, Hayden Byerly, Noah Centineo, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci, and Cierra Ramirez. The series is produced by Nuyorican Productions, Inc. in association with Freeform. The fifth season premiere of The Fosters will be on TUESDAY, JULY 11, at 8 p.m. EDT.

 

The Bold Type, inspired by the life of Joanna Coles, chief content officer of Hearst Magazines, reveals a glimpse into the outrageous lives and loves of those responsible for the global women’s magazine Scarlet. The rising generation of Scarlet women leans on one another as they find their own voices in a sea of intimidating leaders. Together they explore sexuality, identity, love, and fashion.  The series stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy, Sam Page, Matt Ward, and Melora Hardin as Jacqueline, editor in chief of Scarlet Magazine. The Bold Type is executive produced by Sarah Watson, David Bernad, Joanna Coles, and Ruben Fleischer. Holly Whidden is co-executive producer. The series is a Universal Television and The District production. The Bold Type will have a special two-hour premiere on TUESDAY, JULY 11, at 9 p.m. EDT.

(April 20, 2017) – Disney aficionados, film buffs, and musical theater fans can expect a show like no other when eight-time Oscar®-winner Alan Menken performs his own music and shares entertaining anecdotes about his unrivaled career at D23 Expo 2017. His songs and music have enchanted audiences around the world, and now they will thrill D23 Expo guests with two performances of his exciting new one-man show, A Whole New World of Alan Menken, on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. in Hall D23 of the Anaheim Convention Center.

 

Menken has won more Academy Awards®than any other living individual. He has received 11 Grammy® Awards, seven Golden Globes, a Tony Award,® and19 Academy Award® nominations. D23 EXPO DISNEY FAN EVENT TO BE HELD IN JAPAN IN 2018 #119

MINATO-KU, Tokyo, March 21, 2017 – The Walt Disney Company (Japan) announced today that it will stage D23 Expo Japan 2018, a special event for Disney fans created by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, over three days from February 10 to February 12, 2018, at Tokyo Disney Resort in Maihama.

D23 Expo is held every two years in the U.S. for Disney’s most passionate fans. The first D23 Expo in Japan was held in 2013 and is unique to Japan while remaining true to the original vision of “The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.” D23 Expo Japan 2015 was themed to “The Power of Story.” Guests were treated to spellbinding stories from each of the four Disney brands—Disney, Disney•Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel. Goodbye Mickey's Toontown Hello Star Wars Land more news revealed this weekend at the D23 Expo #26

It is rumored that the Toontown and backstage areas will be replaced with Future Star Wars Land. Recently Disneyland bought land across the street from Disneyland, that may become the new backstage area for the triple D ranch where they will keep the horses. And a new parking structure to be built.
But as I said. This is A Rumor.
We will know more after this weekend as they may announce it at the D23 EXPO.
