Our 1st time riding @Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge. Rise of the Resistance

Hello Adventurers!!
This is the moment I have been waiting for, For over four years. You will have to watch 2 videos, because  the line had stopped and i did not want to have the boring stuff on it. LOL
What am I talking about? @StarWars @RiseoftheResisntance
Up to now my most favorite rides at @DisneylandResort were, The Disneyland Railroad (Full Circle), The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Mine Train, Peter Pan's Flight, Casey Jr. Railroad and the Old Version of Star Tours.
Those are classic @Disneyland rides. But when I heard they were removing the Big Thunder Ranch and changing the Rivers of America, I was starting to Hate Disney, I kept saying That doesn't belong in Disneyland, Make a new park and put it there!
In 2018 we still had Premium Annual Passes and were able to ride the 1st ride that opened. Smugglers Run, Eh It was okay. Heck I was even the pilot. But I didnt get to see much as I was pushing buttons and pulling levers just to keep the Millennium Falcon from crashing.
Okay the line was too long, it was a okay ride, But I was skeptical on how the new ride was going to be. Anyways our passes ran out before we could find out. And then the pandemic hit, @Disneyland was closed for over 1 year.

Galaxy's Edge

Now we jump to Today August 04th 2024. We asked all our family or friends if one of them wanted to join us, in celebrating our nineth wedding Anniversary. (Actual real date is 08/07/2024) They all couldn't make it.
Now our friend Alan Thompson Jr.
Former Ragtime pianist at Coke Corner
Yes That Alan Thompson The one you use to listen to or see playing those magical 88 keys at Coke Corner on Main Street U.S.A.
He got us into @Disneyland about a month before and even got us the Genie pass. But as luck would have it The ride had broke down and it was too close to closing time, so they did not reopen it.
I was sad :( Thinking we will never get to ride that ride as My wife and I are both disabled And don't make enough money to even afford a 1 day/ Park hopper or a magic Key pass.

We are so grateful that our friends June and Oscar Martinez signed us in. You remember Chef Oscar? he worked at @Carnation Cafe. He was the lonest tenured Cast Member. @Walt Disney hired him when he was 20 yrs. old in 1956. He worked at the parks for 60 years. started out as a busboy and worked his way up to head chef.

BTW My wife should not of rode it, But she loves me and wanted me to have fun on the ride, even if it killed her YIKES!
I want to thank all the cast members who got us through the que. as she was on her scooter up until we boarded the ride vehicles.

I want to Thank all those Imagineers for making this happen But Most of all I want to Thank @GeorgeLucas Best Ride EVER!

Please watch both Videos and if you are new to the channel, Please subscribe and hit that bell for notifications.
Okay I cannot add the videos So Check the Playlist: Theme parks and other parks Including Train museums

Here are some photos taken by wdw news. photos: Disney Tests Water at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom, Disney tested water in the flume of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom overnight as construction continues on the ride. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Construction More vines have been added to the legs of the Tiana’s Foods water tower. The vines can be seen wrapping around the legs up to about the height of the scaffolding. They’re the same color green as the other fake foliage. The entire exterior is much greener than it once was. The top of the mountain also features white and pink flowers. Several of Mama Odie’s bottle lanterns hang around the top of the ride’s drop. This basically confirms the attraction’s climax will be at Mama Odie’s shipwreck home for the song “Dig A Little Deeper.” Jennifer Lewis will reprise her role as Mama Odie. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Queue . Dirt has been moved and flattened in front of the Walt Disney World Railroad train station, which guests will walk under for the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure queue. There are tracks in the dirt next to a paved sidewalk showing where construction vehicles have driven under the station. The sidewalk has a section of brickwork with stones in a circle at the center. While railings run around most of the sidewalk, they stop next to this The dirt is much flatter in this entire area. We expect to see more work here in the coming weeks. brickwork. The tops of the large railing posts are covered in plastic. The other post tops resemble acorns. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flume! The flume at the bottom of the ride’s drop was looking pretty clean on Saturday morning. That’s because it was actually filled with water on Sunday night for testing. Source: Picasso243 on WDWMAGIC.com Forums User Picasso243 shared the above photo on the WDWMAGIC.com Forums. It shows water flowing through the flume late at night. The water was drained before the morning. We did see a small camera on a tripod next to the flume. The camera was evidently being used to film the water. The tripod was weighed down by sandbags. No crew members or Imagineers were around when we saw the The camera was not running when we saw it. The test may have been to see how the water works with changes to the flume walls and other nearby elements. No ride vehicles have been spotted. The camera was not running when we saw it. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to open this year at both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park. It will likely open at Magic Kingdom first as construction began there first, but no dates have been confirmed. Tiana’s Famous Beignets are currently available at Magic Kingdom for Celebrate Soulfully 2024. Pick them up at Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. @ETicketToTomorrowland would like to thank @wdwnt.com and: Author Shannen Ace Shannen Ace Shannen has been a Disney Parks fan and lover of dogs since childhood, despite Pluto's attempt to eat Shannen's Minnie Mouse doll the first time they met.
