This was my birthday weekend, which also fell on the same weekend as the D23 Expo 2019 which ran August 23rd-25th. I had heard that Dick Van Dyke was at the Disneyland Hotel and We saw  Josh Gadd and his family in the hotel lobby. We didn't bother the celebrities that were there doing panels at D23 Expo.
I almost ran into film historian Leonard Maltin and his Daughter and friends. I did approach him just to say hello. I did not ask to take any pictures or autographs. He did shake my hand, It was like he had jumped out of a dvd just as you would imagine him nicest guy. Carla had a wonderful conversation with him, and it was truly an honor to meet them!

Here are pictures of the room.

Reminds me of where I grew up Upland Ca.

I wanted to try one on, but did not.

Once again I want to thank the Cast Members and Staff at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel for giving me and me wife Carla  The Disney Life.

OMG!!!

Yes this is probably how  Krazy Kirk ( a.k.a. Billy Hill ) felt when he heard that his old buddies from  The Disneyland Resort were coming to his territory  Knott's Berry Farm this summer.

The summer adventure continues long after the sun goes down, with an all-new nighttime summer party that will liven up the night. Beginning June 7 (Tonight) - August 11th, Knott's Summer Nights offers numerous ways to enjoy the nighttime festivities as live music, food and games take over the Knott's midway.

Live Entertainment
Tomasina

Our live entertainment will feature a variety of bands including Suburban Legends, Hiatus (formerly known as The Mad T Party Band) and Suffragettes among others that rotate during the event nightly. Rock out to a top 40's band at the Calico Mine Stage and bop to beats of the Boardwalk DJ around Charleston Circle Fountain. Oversized classic games and festoon lighting will set the stage for guests to enjoy their summer nights at Knott's, while the Knott's Party Crew encourages good ol' fashion fun with games and competitions that will bring out the competitor in everyone

So before I post more what Knott's Berry Farm shows on their website. I thought I would let you all know and everyone who loved those Disney bands. Knott's, Great job!! I hope you dont mind the crowds, because you are going to be hit with a wave of people who loves those bands, but couldn't get to their venues where they were/are playing. Which I am sure you already know. By getting Billy Hill and the Hillbillies from Disneyland. Now they are the Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies.
I want to thank the former President of Disneyland Matt Ouimet,
President of Cedar Fair /KBF

Former President of the Disneyland resort Matt Ouimet
for bringing those bands to Disneyland and now bringing them to Knott's Berry Farm's Summer Nights.

Guests can enjoy a variety of bands that rotate at the Calico Park stage nightly, rock out to a top 40's band at the Calico Mine Stage or bop to beats of the Boardwalk DJ around Charleston Circle Fountain.

A summer night party is not complete without an abundance of food and drinks, and no theme park does food quite like Knott's. Seasonal flavors collide as the Knott's culinary team creates tasty twists to classic summer favorites. Food Tasting Card

The Knott's Summer Nights Tasting card provides samplings of delicious one-of-a-kind summertime items at select locations throughout the midway for only $35.  Most locations and items are available from 6:00 p.m. until park closing. Must be 21 and older for alcoholic beverages.

With a hub of live music, unique summer food offerings, Instagram-able photo opportunities, interactive experiences, and family-friendly games, Knott's Summer Nights will be an event to remember.

I have a annual pass to Disneyland, but with the way the prices are getting out of hand, not to mention the crowds. I am totally thinking about getting a Knott's Pass with them starting as low as $116 for the year.
Anyway we Hope to see you at Knott's Summer Nights.

You can check out the times and nights of your favorite bands will be playing : https://twitter.com/knotts

I'm sure these bands will be a Big Hit just like the followers of the Hillbillies could tell you.

STAR WARS THE LAST JEDI "NYCC" STUNT #167

Although Star Wars: The Last Jedi didn’t host a panel at New York Comic-Con, the booth that Lucasfilm set up may offer an even more exciting glimpse at what’s to come for the series.

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi “Experience” took place in the NYCC booth and was made to replicate a set from the movie. While at first it looked like fans could just mill about looking at props from the film and read informational panels about the new Resistance blasters, the “Experience” soon lived up to its name. Fans were suddenly caught in the middle of a brief skirmish between the Resistance and the First Order in an interactive event that certainly looks like a test run for the upcoming Star Wars theme park land.

The installment was the object of much anticipation at New York Comic-Con earlier this month, with fans flocking to see the collection of props and teasers for Star Wars Episode VIII. But there was more to the booth than met the eye: several fans were picked at random to have their photos projected on the displays around the booth, labeled as Resistance spies.

In the video recap, Stormtroopers entered through a door in the booth, demanding to know where the spies were. Soon the game was afoot, with other Resistance members appearing to spirit away the chosen fans, while BB-8 rolled about. A Kylo Ren appearance and one very cool Force choke effect later, and you’ve got the makings of Star Wars Land.

The best part of this video are the whoops and gasps from the crowd when they realize they’re part of a simulation — the laughs when Kylo Ren dramatically enters probably wasn’t what the actors in the installment predicted, but, oh well. But this was possibly a way for Lucasfilm to test some concepts for the Star Wars land opening in a few years, now called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Opening at both Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida, the Star Wars Lands plan to offer even more interactive experiences: Fans can join the Resistance, work as a bounty hunter or smuggler, or even join the First Order.

The Star Wars Experience at NYCC probably won’t be an exact prediction of the offerings at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but it showed Lucasfilm and Disney’s commitment to the quality of the experience: the stunts, the force choke, the actual BB-8 robot rolling around on the floor. If they broke out these impressive effects for a booth at New York Comic-Con, who knows what they have in store for an actual theme park?

Star Wars The Last Jedi....
I wonder if it will be like, how they pick out a Rebel Spy on Star tours. At Disneyland and Walt Disney world.
I guess we will have to wait and see in 2 years at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.
