Maybe you aren't into Star Wars, maybe you want to visit DCA and go Soaring over California #192
I myself have not been to the newest edition of Soarin over at Disney California Adventure park, since they re-did it, so If I go and see this. It will be like I never left.
I saw this on the new the other night, Disney is hoping to ease the crowds by bringing back a DCA classic ride.
I also saw this on Disney Parks Blog. Ty Michael Ramirez
Soarin’ Over California Returns to Disney California Adventure Park this June for a Limited Time
As posted by Disney Parks Blog, Nine Things to ‘Know Before You Go’ to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort #190
Nine Things to ‘Know Before You Go’ to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort
by Michael Ramirez, Editorial Content Director, Disneyland Resort
When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at the Disneyland Resort in just a few days, you will be invited to step into the Star Wars universe for the very first time and live your own Star Warsadventures. To help you plan ahead and prepare for your visit, here are nine things to “know before you go” to this epic, new land, opening May 31.
1. Reservations are required to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge between May 31 and June 23. If visiting during this time, valid theme park admission and a reservation are needed to enter the new land at Disneyland park. If you have a reservation, you may check in at Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland up to 2 hours prior to your reservation start time, and go to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge entrance as directed when your reservation begins. When you check in, please bring your reservation confirmation (including QR code), government-issued ID and all members of your party listed on the reservation. At this time, general reservations are no longer available on Disneyland.com.
2. You can still get a reservation to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge by staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel between May 31 and June 23*. Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels between May 31 and June 23 will receive a designated reservation to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during their stay (one reservation per registered guest; valid theme park admission required). Hotel guests will be notified of their reservation date and time with their registration confirmation. You may book a stay at Disneyland.com/Hotels or call (714) 520-5060. If the hotel reservation is cancelled, the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservation will be cancelled.
3. No standby line will be available to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge between May 31 and June 23. Only guests with reservations will be able to access the land during this time.*
4. If you plan on visiting opening day, May 31, there is no need for guests with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservations to arrive early because of the reservation system we have in place. You can begin to check in two hours prior to your reservation start time. You may begin parking at select theme park parking lots at midnight.
5. Reservations will no longer be required to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge after June 23. As needed, to manage demand, Disneyland Resort will implement a virtual queueing system to visit the new land so you can enjoy the rest of the resort while waiting to visit Batuu. The Disneyland app will have a dedicated module, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Status and Access, available from the main page, on which you can request to join a boarding group to visit the land, once you have entered the park. Boarding groups will be sent a push notification when it is their turn to enter the land and they can monitor status of boarding groups from the app. There will also be the ability to join a boarding group from select locations inside Disneyland park, if you are not using the app. The boarding group is tied to admission media that will be scanned upon entry into the land. Signage throughout the park will also display boarding group status. Admission into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be subject to capacity, and having an assigned boarding group will not guarantee entrance to the land.
6. The current Disneyland Resort costume policy will be in effect in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Costumes may not be worn by guests 14 years of age or older. Appropriate Disney bounding – dressing in outfits inspired by favorite characters – is permitted.
7. Download the official Disneyland mobile app to plan ahead and make the most of your visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The Disneyland app** allows you to check the attraction wait time, locate character encounters and even utilize the mobile ordering feature at select dining locations when you are in the new land.
8. Prepare for your visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge by downloading the Play Disney Parks mobile app in advance of your arrival. The Play Disney Parks app** allows you to deepen your engagement with the land and interact with the world around you on the planet Batuu. Should you choose to engage through the app, you will be able to interact with droids, translate Aurebesh, scan cargo crates and other containers to collect virtual items, and more.
9. Inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, our goal is to provide a great guest experience. For example, while you are in the queue at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, you will have the ability to purchase snacks, utilize a continued process to visit the restroom, enjoy cast interactions, and also engage with an in-queue game while using the Play Disney Parks mobile app to make wait times fun, interactive and enjoyable.

Disney Debuts Rainbow Mickey Mouse Ears in Time For Gay Pride Month #174
Disneyland has given us yet another excuse to visit their parks, and this time it's not just for their churros.
The amusement park recently began to sell rainbow-colored Mickey Mouse ears in stores at both Walt Disney World in Florida and in the original Disneyland park in California, just weeks shy of Gay Pride Month, which occurs in June.
According to people, the colorful, striped ears with a red cap, which are officially named, "Rainbow Love," are an "in-park exclusive" and currently retail for $18 at the Emporium, Fantasy Faire and the Chapeau Hat Shoppe in the Walt Disney World Park in Orlando.
The sale of these LGBTQ-themed ears is one of Disneyland's many items of merchandise that can be worn when visiting the parks, and is especially perfect for those un-official "Gay Days," which draw thousands of visitors annually for a Pride-themed celebration.

Pirate Treasure Inspires 50th Anniversary Collection For Beloved Swashbuckling Voyage at Disneyland Park #115
The beloved swashbuckling voyage to a long forgotten time when pirates wrought havoc on the high seas celebrates its 50th anniversary this year at Disneyland Resort. The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction opened on March 18, 1967, in New Orleans Square, and quickly became an instant classic. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, we are releasing commemorative apparel and collectible pins this month in Disneyland park. I recently spoke with Graphic Designer Quynh Kimball, an 18-year Cast Member who works for Disney Design Group, about the inspiration behind the pin collection.
“We wondered what kind of pins would be released if Disney Pin Trading had been available in 1967,” explained Quynh. “The merchandising team and I watched the ‘Wonderful World of Disney’ opening day television special. We loved seeing pirates invading New Orleans Square to officially open the attraction. I could only imagine the delight guests felt as they experienced for the first time what have become iconic Disney attraction scenes. We included several of those scenes in the pin designs.”
Guests will find several individual limited edition pins, each with an edition size of 2,500. The individual limited edition pins will also be offered in a boxed set containing one completer pin (500 edition size).
“My favorite scenes include the man playing a banjo on his porch and the plunge down two waterfalls into Dead Man’s Cove,” said Quynh. “I thought the treasure chests with colorful gems were a great nod to the pirates in the latter scene. Those pirates are frozen in time and will never take home those chests filled with jewels, but our guests can with these pins [laughs].”
In addition to pins, guests will find two commemorative “I Was There” shirts.
One shirt was designed specifically for Annual Passholders, who may also find a collectible limited edition pin (3,000 edition size). Passholders should present a valid Annual Pass in order to purchase the exclusive shirt and pin.
The limited edition pins, Annual Passholder pin, and boxed pin set will be released on March 16 in the following Disneyland park locations: Westward Ho located in Frontierland; 20th Century Music Co. on Main Street, U.S.A.; and Little Green Store Command in Tomorrowland. Guests may also find these items at Disney’s Pin Traders in Downtown Disney District.
The “I Was There” Shirts will be offered in both Disneyana on Main Street, U.S.A., and Pieces of Eight in New Orleans Square on March 18. Guests may also find a version of the red-colored shirt via DisneyStore.com/ParkEvents from March 20-26. Please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.
The park also offered a Pirates 50th anniversary Stein, it sold out by noon on Thursday, but will be restocked Today on the Anniversary of the ride POTC.
I want to thank Steven Miller of Disney Parks Blog, for sharing this.
Happy 50th Anniversary Pirates!! YoHo YoHo a Pirates life for me.

Summer of Heroes bring new Marvel Experiences to Disneyland Resort #102
With the conversion of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure into theGuardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout attraction, we were bound to see some new Guardians of the Galaxy attractions/interactions/experiences coming to Disney California Adventure theme park.
Inside the Magic has given us an inside look into what we can expect to see during the Summer of Heroes at Disneyland Resort:
If you are hoping to meet some new Marvel characters at the parks, then you won’t be disappointed. You’ll have the chance to meet Black Widow when you participate in the Avengers Training Initiative during the Summer of Heroes, while year-round you will get a chance to meet with Groot, who will be meeting alongside fan favorites Spiderman and Captain America at Super Hero Encounters.
Guests will be able to participate in the Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance-Off! year-round as well, which we imagine is highly entertaining!

Now I have heard rumors from people online and from Mice Chat that after the 11th, This will change on Sunday the 12th.
This was written by Brian Pinsky of Mice Chat.
RUMOR PATROL – This may be your last week to buy an annual pass with the monthly payment plan option. All signs point to new annual pass pricing rolling out this coming Sunday. The good news is that prices shouldn’t be going up very much and in some cases may even be cheaper than current prices (on renewals). We know the park has been struggling with how to deal with pass holder overcrowding at the resort and payment plans are seen as the main culprit. It’s very likely that the payment plan option will either be completely removed or only remain available for renewals. This is a good time for you to buy that pass or renew . . . just in case.
I also called the Disneyland Resort and talked to a nice Cast-Member who was from India. I had mentioned that I heard a Rumor that the prices would change on the 12th. She told me that she had heard that rumor also, but that she hasn't received a e-mail notice from "The Mouse".
At the moment I do not have a AP to get into the resort. If and when the prices change, I will have to save up so I can visit home once again.

Disneyland Park Guests Get a Peek at New Star Wars-Themed Land. #63
Nestled between towering spires of rock, this thriving port contains a seemingly familiar architecture of markets, landing zones and buildings. Click here for a larger version of the image above. Look closely and you may find hints of some of the thrilling experiences that are coming – like the Millennium Falcon peeking out of one of the cargo bays, marking the location where guests will get the opportunity to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.
The 14-acre land will be the largest-ever single-themed land expansion at Disneyland Resort. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog – we’ll continue to bring you updates as we learn more about this planet, as well as the citizens, aliens and droids who populate it.
This was originally posted by Erin Glover ,on Disney Parks Blog.
By clicking on the picture it will become bigger.
( Just a note from me) I am glad to see that the Disneyland Railroad still exists, if you take a closer look at the sketch, you will see a wooden trestle running over the Rivers of America.
