This past Sunday was our 1st wedding anniversary and our friends birthday.
We have celebrated our birthday's in the past at the club for dinner, But this time we decided to try lunch.

After ringing the doorbell, they answered the do and asked us in to wait in the Court of Angels, waiting area. and offered us Orange spearmint chilled water and cooling cloths.

When our table was ready they had us ride in the elevator up to the 2nd floor, This is where the magic happens.
As we were seated there was two envelopes on the table, one was for Susan's birthday blue ribbon,  and the other was our Anniversary card silver ribbon. The cards we signed by all of the staff and our server Kirstin.

We ordered from the 4 course lunch menu, which was an appetizer, salad, main course and desert.
we shared a bottle of sparkling apple cider as a toast to our celebrations.

soup and salad  artichoke , and spread was very good.
I had Chicken with bacon and potato and peas with a ranch and BBQ sauce.
and the deserts were to die for.

Everyone that works at the club was very nice, we got to go out on the balcony. took pictures. They allowed me to play Lillian Disney's Harpsichord. and I took a picture looking down the hall for Members Only lounge.

I think lunch is much better then the last time we went for dinner 1 year ago. If we ever return it will be for lunch. as a gift to us, Club 33 gave us Macaroon cookies, Sorry I didn't take a picture of them and now they are gone.

I want to thank all the Staff at Club 33, Our Contacts and the McDonnell's

Just announced this morning Coming Soon to Walt Disney World 7 Confirmed Refurbishments #78

The Walt Disney World Parks are constantly changing their refurbishment schedules, making it difficult for guests to keep up with the operating times and latest news regarding their favorite attractions, resorts, shops, and restaurants. Here are a few big, upcoming changes that are either confirmed by their respective parks or at the least very strongly rumored for the very near future.
For August's refurbishment update, we take a look at a number of refurbishments happening at the Magic Kingdom in the coming weeks, plus the annual water park refurbishment dates are confirmed for 2016. However, let's first take a look at a refurbishment happening outside the theme parks...

1. Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf

Status: Confirmed
Dates: August 1-2 and 1-10, 2016
The two halves of Disney's Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf course will be closed for a few days each early this month. The Fairways course will close on August 1 through to August 2, reopening to guests on August 3 2016. The Gardens course will also close on August 1, but will remain closed through to August 10, with an expected reopening to guests on August 11th. During these brief closures, the greens will be cleaned up, and there will probably be some paint re-touches done around the course as well

2. Celebrate the Magic (Magic Kingdom) ty for pic Disney Parks Blog.

Status: Confirmed
Dates: August 5-31, 2016
The Magic Kingdom's nightly Celebrate the Magic castle projection show will be closing for refurbishment in just a few days on beginning on August 5th. This show will then not be performed for nearly a month, and is expected to tentatively return to Cinderella Castle on August 31st. Though no reason was immediately given for this lengthy closure, insiders suggest that new projectors are being installed for this show, which should bring the projection quality of this show up to that of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, which is now playing at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This is definitely a good thing, as the projection quality used in this show put Celebrate the Magic to shame.
3. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ( Magic Kingdom) ty Disney Parks.

Status: Confirmed

Dates: August 8- November 18, 2016
Though this refurbishment was originally supposed to take place this past spring, the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom is now set to close for a lengthy three month refurbishment beginning in just a few days. While we don't know exactly what changes will be taking place during this time, the lengthy downtime implies that some pretty major improvements are in the works for this attraction.
It's worth mentioning that Disneyland's version of Big Thunder Mountain got some serious upgrades back in 2014 which included new track, projection effects and a complete overhaul of the third lift show scene. Though the Disneyland refurbishment lasted over a year, the Magic Kingdom could simply copy some of these improvements with relative ease, especially the projection elements and the changes to the show scenes. However, it's also equally likely that this version is just getting an extensive clean-up that will last nearly three months. No matter what the case is, we'll at least know by mid-November what is going on with this classic Magic Kingdom ride, unless Disney decides to make an announcement (which is always possible).

Status: Confirmed
Dates: August 22 - September 15, 2016
Another refurbishment coming to the Magic Kingdom that we've known about for some time is for It's a Small World. Though its a bummer that this attraction is going to be closing soon, It's a Small World has been in need of some attention recently, with several of its animatronics and effects malfunctioning on a daily basis. While we wouldn't expect much in the way of "big" upgrades for this attraction, there is quite a lot that needs to be cleaned up, which justifies the long refurbishment time. Though it might be a little depressing to go without the Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed for almost a month, when this attraction re-opens in mid-September, it'll probably look better than it has in years!

Status: Confirmed
Dates: October 10 - December 02, 2016
Like most resort pools, the Grand Slam Pool at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort needs some TLC from time to time. And it looks like this small, baseball-themed pool will be getting some attention this fall when it closes for refurbishment in mid-October. The main pool at this resort will continue to remain open during this refurbishment, and when this pool reopens it will probably still look very familiar to guests.
6. Blizzard Beach (the whole park)photo credit worldofwalt.

Status: Confirmed
Dates: October 23 - December 24, 2016
Walt Disney World's water parks close every year for regular maintenance, and 2016 will be no different. This year, Blizzard Beach will be the first of the two parks to be refurbished, closing in mid-October for two months. This lengthily closure in in line with other closures from recent years,  and should give Disney time to drain the pools and clean everything up at this park just in time for Christmas.
7.Typhoon Lagoon (the whole park) photo credit DisneyWorld.go

Status: Confirmed
Dates: December 25, 2016 - March 11, 2017
And just as soon as Blizzard Beach reopens, Typhoon Lagoon will be closing for its own refurbishment on Christmas day. This refurbishment will be a bit longer, with the park remaining closed nearly three months until mid-March. The reason this closure is a lot longer than that of Blizzard Beach is likely because when this park re-opens it will have a new family river ride. Though this new ride still hasn't been confirmed by Disney, internal permits suggest that this project is indeed moving forward, and we'd say that this long refurbishment time is pretty much proof that this new slide will be open by next spring.

Local News by KTLA Man Charged in Molestation of 9-Year-Old Boy Works at Downtown Disney. #75

A man charged in the alleged molestation of a 9-year-old boy in a bathroom at Puente Hills Mall is an employee at Downtown Disney, a Disney Resort spokesperson confirmed Wednesday.

Richard Matthew Camarena, 45, of Claremont was arrested Saturday in the July 8 incident at the mall in City of Industry, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The department’s Special Victims Bureau has asked for the public’s help locating possible additional victims.
Camarena works at a retail store at Downtown Disney in Anaheim, the shopping and entertainment complex free and open to the public adjacent to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.
“He has been placed on administrative leave pending the resolution of the investigation,” the Disney Resort spokesperson said.
Camarena was charged Tuesday with one felony count of lewd act upon a child, the District Attorney’s Office announced.
The victim had gone to the movies with his family, the DA’s office said. After the movie, the family went into the mall, and the boy went to use the restroom there, according to a DA’s spokeswoman.
While the child was in a locked stall, he saw the door “wiggled open” and Camarena entered, the DA’s office said in a news release. Camarena allegedly touched the victim inappropriately.
The Sheriff’s Department on July 21 asked for help identifying a person of interest, publishing a photo of the man.  Tips from the public and other investigation led to Camarena’s arrest two days later, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Camarena appeared in court in Pomona Tuesday. His arraignment was postponed to Thursday. He is being held at the Men’s Central Jail in downtown L.A. on $100,000 bail, according to inmate records.

ARE THE NAZI'S AFTER THE JETPACK AGAIN??? Disney Is Rebooting The Rocketeer with a Black Female Lead #74

Disney Is Rebooting The Rocketeer with a Black Female Lead

The beloved cult classic is getting a new reboot-sequel.

Disney is ready to revamp the 1991 cult classic The Rocketeer, The Hollywood Reporter has announced. The live-action movie, based on the popular comic-book character of the same name, will get a sequel-slash-reboot—and, in a new spin, the new film will star a black female lead.
The script will be written by Max Winkler and Matt Spicer. Brigham Taylor (The Jungle Book) will serve as a producer, alongside star athletes Blake Griffin and Ryan Kalil.
The original film, set in the 1930s, is about a stunt pilot named Cliff Secord who stumbles upon a powerful jet pack, and must protect it when villains try to steal it and use it for evil. Directed by Joe Johnston (Captain America, Jumanji), The Rocketeer starred Billy Campbell, Alan Arkin, Jennifer Connelly, and Timothy Dalton, and received average reviews at the time, but afterward became an underground favorite among movie and comic-book fans. Campbell always wanted the film to have a sequel, but said in an interview years ago that the movie didn’t make “as much money as Disney had hoped,” dashing any follow-up dreams.

This was messaged to me from Yohana Desta of the Hollywood Reporter.
Take a look at the short clip from the original Rocketeer Movie from 1991.

Now it makes me wonder, Will Disneyland keep playing the music from the original movie above where the retired Rocket Rods ride once was in Tomorrowland?
Stay tuned for updates on this and more exciting stories.

ABC TELEVISION ONCE UPON A TIME RETURNS SEP. 25TH. COMIC-CON REVEAL 'Once Upon a Time': A new Aladdin and Jafar are introduced, but there's not much Mr. Hyde talk #73

"Once Upon a Time" duo Jennifer Morrison and Colin O'Donoghue appear on the Comic-Con panel.

The “Once Upon a Time” panel usually gives the Oncers, who include hostess Yvette Nicole Brown, at least one or two future moments or new characters to look forward to in the coming season. This year, it was the reveal of the first scene from Season 6 that put a spotlight on Jafar (Oded Fehr) and Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) from Disney’s “Aladdin.”
They are characters that we’ve seen in the “Once” universe before — though with different actors — co-starring in the short-lived spinoff “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.” The more telling part is that Aladdin, like Emma Swan (played by Jennifer Morrison), is a savior, and Jafar tells Aladdin that saviors never live happily ever after.
It’s a goal, probably the biggest goal, of most of the characters in the show, and it’s interesting to hear that there could be a lineage of saviors. Jafar is a big liar, though, so the ever-after part could be a false prophecy.
That may have been the biggest, most revealing moment of the whole panel. The beginning had a cool promo for the show that was basically a highlight reel of the history of the Evil Queen/Regina, played by Lana Parrilla, leading up to the point where she split into two beings, one the semi-happy, sarcastic mayor of Storybrooke and the other a never-can-be-happy monarch of the Enchanted Kingdom with no conscious who is bent on revenge. It will definitely be the highlight of the season.
The show has many divergent story lines, even important ones among characters not part of the huge ensemble main cast — which, for the panel, included Morrison, Parrilla, Colin O'Donoghue, Josh Dallas, Emilie de Ravin, Rebecca Mader and Jared Gilmore. Though questions were asked about actors’ motivations (“They’re all so close that it’s easy [to do difficult scenes],” O’Donoghue said), what they did when they found out they’d gotten their parts (“I freaked out!” said Gilmore, quickly followed by, “So did I!” from the ebullient Mader) and how Regina and Emma will weather this newest twin trouble (“They’ve become best friends. They help each other,” Parrilla said), nothing too revealing or new was revealed.
The more interesting problems for this multi-story line show are characters and situations that, from listening to the crowd leaving the Ballroom 20 venue, were left out in terms of updates. Some include:
— What’s going on with Dorothy and Red? The kiss by two beloved fairy-tale characters wasn’t expanded upon much, though we do know they’re together somewhere.
— Lily and Maleficent. The half-dragon, one-time best friend of Emma Swan was introduced as a potentially really bad villain. She seemed to calm down and met her mom, Maleficent, then ... just kind of dropped off.
— Mr. Hyde and his band of not very merry invaders. This will be, seemingly, the other big bad for the new season, with Mr. Hyde having separated himself from Dr. Jekyll, then hitching a ride to Storybrooke with other literary figures — we assume all bad guys — on a one-way trip provided by Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle). Hyde may have been mentioned one time, but the story line was not.
They did give Oncers a quick look into what was going on in the Underworld, though. With King Arthur ruling, Cruella de Vil (Victoria Smurfit, dah-ling) was sad and drinking, as usual. Bartender Mordred, a onetime knight of the roundtable played by “Buffy” alum James Marsters, serves up spirits to de Vil, who, after a pep talk, fancies herself a true hero because she allows heroes to see the light through her darkness. It’s a twisted interpretation of herself, which is exactly how “Once Upon a Time” thrives.

Here is a quick video on how Disneyland celebrated the 61st Anniversary on July 17th. #72

This week, Disneyland Resort celebrated 61 years! And the Disney Parks Blog shared a special video highlighting the celebration.

https://youtu.be/a4sOn_ES5sI

The festivities began with the Disneyland Band leading the “Happiest March on Earth” down Main Street, U.S.A., followed by a cast of 61 Disney characters at the Main Street Train Station.

Really? This is the best you could do? put 61 characters dancing in front of the Main Street Station?

Question: Do you think the Disneyland Resort is losing its magic touch?

How many of you are no longer Annual Passholders?

We will be making our once a year trip for our wedding anniversary next month, Plus celebrating friends Birthdays.
I will do a Update on what I think of the parks and food at Club 33.
