Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek Helps Launch Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary. #120

Update #3 from Disneyland Paris: 9:30pm CET (Paris time)
What a day here at Disneyland Paris. I am Tres Fatigué!
It has been one of the greatest experiences helping with the 25th Anniversary kick-off with my friends here in Paris.
The day was filled with magical experiences – I can’t count them all.
The centrepiece of the night’s events was the debut of Disney Illuminations – the superb new nighttime fireworks spectacular – preceded by a surprise performance from none other than SUPERSTAR JOHN LEGEND!
Legend surprised the press, media and the guests at Disneyland Paris with the performance of three songs: “All of Me,” “Love Me Now” and his new rendition of the hit song “Beauty and The Beast” from the blockbuster live action film. The performance took place on a specially-designed stage at The Hub with Sleeping Beauty Castle as the backdrop. The setting was classy and classic – circular stage, piano and spotlight.
This was John’s first visit to Disneyland Paris. Following his performance, he took time to take a photo with Mickey Mouse and Disneyland President, Catherine Powell. John also expressed his admiration of Disneyland Paris and being a part of the 25th Anniversary celebration by speaking with members of the European Press.
It was a spectacular night.
But now, I’m head for my “lit” or bed.
Stay tuned for more from Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary Celebration, officially starting on March 26!

Update #2 from Disneyland Paris: 7pm CET (Paris time)
Throughout the afternoon here we’ve been privy to the debut of all the fabulous new entertainment here at Disneyland Paris, specifically created for the 25th Anniversary.
They created not one – but two – stage shows performed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle – Tres Magnifique!
Mickey presents Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris is a heart-warming show that features all your favorite things about Disney Parks entertainment – beloved characters, fabulous Disney music and a host of singers and dancers – what a spectacle. Mickey – in a sparkly new blue costume – invites his friends and Disneyland Paris guests to celebrate 25 years of magical memories.
And for those princess fans out there, The Starlit Princess Waltz is a princess-themed extravaganza with Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel and Tiana, dressed in magnificent ball gowns, create a magical moment against the unique backdrop of Sleeping Beauty Castle and its spectacular fountains. Tinker Bell herself has transformed the Royal Castle stage into a starlit ballroom. It’s stunning.
Lest we leave out the parade – Disney Stars on Parade features huge, spectacular floats with your favorite characters like Crush and Squirt from Disney●Pixar’s “Finding Nemo,” a ton of Disney princesses and adventurous pals from Disney’s “The Lion King,” “Jungle Book” and “Peter Pan.” And, of course, Mickey and his pals are there too.
All this entertainment – one doesn’t know how to fit it all into one day – But I’m sure going to try.
More later!

Update #1 from Disneyland Paris: 4pm CET (Paris time)
Just checking in with a little celebrity update: One of our favourites at the Disney Parks Blog is here – having a blast.
Teri Hatcher (“Desperate Housewives,” “Supergirl”) is on hand, of course, to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the resort – this time with her dad – on his first trip to Paris.
After a few days of enjoying Paris with her father, Owen, Teri arrived at Disneyland Paris, ready to celebrate. She caught the debut of the new Disney Stars on Parade, talked with some of the media guests in attendance, and even posed for a photo with Goofy.
Word is – that she’s going to stay for the debut of the new Disney Illuminations night-time show tonight.
Another batch of vacation memories made!
Along with Teri, there a LOT of European celebrities and models here too. I don’t know any of their names really, but they are all gorgeous and look like they’re having fun.
Anyway, back to the fun for me! Will update more later. Au revoir.

Jour Deux (or Day Two) of my reports from Disneyland Paris! Let the celebrating begin!
A little early you say? I’ve been telling you that the Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary celebration starts on March 26 (See yesterday’s post for more info).
Well, that’s true, but what’s a Disney Celebration with a big star-studded party?
Leading up to the start of the big day for guests, the Disneyland Paris team has rolled out the blue sparkly carpet for a sneak preview of the festivities.
Walt Disney Parks and Resort Chairman Bob Chapek and Disneyland Resort Paris President Catherine Powell launched the ceremonies in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle with a look back at the history of the resort; the honor that it has had upholding Walt Disney’s legacy of making dreams come true for guests around the world – with a nod to making more dreams in the future.
“Since it opened its gates in 1992, Disneyland Paris has been a place where the young and young at heart can step into the worlds of their favorite stories, meet beloved characters, and become part of the magic in a way that only happens at a Disney Park,” Chapek said. “And we’ve got even more magic in store for our 25th anniversary.”
Powell also talked about the legacy she feels as the resort’s leader.
“We are proud to bring Walt’s heritage to life in the heart of Europe, to have made strong ties with Paris and France and to have made our guests dreams come true for more than a quarter of a century,” said Catherine Powell, President of Euro Disney S.A.S., “Now, more than ever before, Disneyland Paris is looking to the future, and continuing to exceed our Guests’ expectations.
The ceremony ended with a dazzling finale of fireworks led by Tinker Bell herself and a host of Disneyland Paris cast members and favorite Disney characters.
I’m a sucker for a fireworks finale!
Well, that’s it for now.
I will be updating this post throughout the day; and we’ll be sending updates through social media using the hash tag #DisneylandParis25.
Stay tuned to ETickettoTomorrowland blob and Disney Parks Blog for updates on the celebration and the exciting new fun at Disneyland Paris.
I would like to thank Disney Parks Blog and by , Public Relations Manager for sharing this Celebration!!

Egg-stravaganza Details Hatched as Fun Scavenger Hunt Returns to Disneyland Resort in April 2017. #118

Springtime is just around the corner, which means the return of the beloved Egg-stravaganza to Disneyland Resort. This fun, egg-themed scavenger hunt will take place from April 1-16, 2017, at Disneyland park, Disney California Adventure park, and Downtown Disney District. I recently “hopped” over to special event merchandiser Linda Votaw to discover what makes this activity popular with guests.
“This is the fifth year we’ve offered the Egg-stravaganza at the Disneyland Resort,” explained Linda. “I believe our guests love it as spring is a wonderful season to visit. This activity is easy to do, and it’s something the whole family can enjoy. Even if you have been to Disneyland Resort many times, this scavenger hunt gives guests an opportunity to explore the theme parks and Downtown Disney District in a new way.”

To participate, pick up a map and stickers for $5.99 (plus tax) at select merchandise locations throughout Disneyland Resort. Search for special hidden “eggs” themed to Disney and Pixar characters. Record your discoveries by placing the corresponding sticker on the themed Egg-stravaganza map to represent that location.
Whether you choose to hunt for eggs or not, return your map to a redemption location for a surprise. Redemption locations include the following merchandise shops: Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure park; Disney Showcase in Disneyland park; World of Disney Store in the Downtown Disney District.

For guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, don’t forget the Egg-stravaganza is currently taking place at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival through May 29, 2017.

Purchasing limits will apply, while supplies last. Please note that no discounts apply and separate admission is required to enter Disney theme parks. The experience is subject to restrictions and may change without notice.
I wish to Thank Steven Miller of "Disney Parks Blog". For sharing this blog.
Happy Spring and Easter everyone.

A MAGICAL EVENING OF SPARKLING LIGHTS WITH THE DISNEY PARKS BLOG #117

E Ticket To Tomorrowland had the great fortune to attend a Disney Parks Blog Main Street Electrical Parade event last week! With the usual Disney Flair, We were treated to a gift pack when we signed in, with a Disney Parks Blog T-shirt, Rice treat and glowing button, all with the MSEP logo on it. Then we were led into the park and taken to the Small World area, to the Mickey And The Magical Map Theater for fun Photo ops, one with the Big Cheese himself!
A wonderful original dessert buffet was available, with peanut butter and jelly éclairs, ladybug macrons, a cute little turtle pastry and a parfait. The tables were all decorated with fresh flowers and blinking lights. Simply Magical!
Then it was time for the panel. It was hosted by Her Royal Blogess, Erin Glover, and featured Robin Vossen: General Manager Of Disneyland Entertainment Operations, John Addis: Director Of Disneyland Creative Entertainment, and Bruce Healey: Principal Music Producer, Disneyland Creative Entertainment. They all answered some great Trivia questions! Did you know that the original idea for the MSEP came from the water Pageant Parade at Walt Disney World? There are over 600,000 lights on the parade floats, and that number changes constantly, because they are always adding strands and effects Daily? When asked about the number of lights, they did say that the girl in the commercial knows for sure...lol. The Synthetic voice that was added to the opening of the parade is that of Jack Wagner. THE voice of Disneyland. They were also kind enough to raffle off several framed sketches that when lit glow in the dark.
We finally made our way to grab a seat next to Small World for a viewing of the parade...with the popcorn and water provided!
It truly was a magical night! A huge thanks to Erin and the Disney Parks Blog for hosting a magically wonderful event. A super special thanks to my companions for the wonderful time I had.

Experience the Magic of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. #116

Did you see Disney’s new live-action adaptation “Beauty and the Beast” this weekend? If you’re as enchanted as we are, you’re in luck! At Disney Parks and Resorts, there’s no shortage of ways you can experience this timeless tale for yourself.

Watch the story unfold before your eyes during Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or let Belle herself take you into the story during Enchanted Tales with Belle at Magic Kingdom Park. Experience the comedic, abbreviated version when The Royal Theatre Presents Beauty and the Beast at Disneyland park, and step into The Beast’s Library at Disney California Adventure park to find your place in the story.
For those who haven’t seen the new movie, catch the special sneak peek at One Man’s Dream in Disney’s Hollywood Studios or at Sunset Showcase Theater at Disney California Adventure park. A collection of props and costume pieces used in the film’s production will be on display through this weekend.

You can Be Our Guest and dine inside the Beast’s castle at Magic Kingdom Park, step into Lumiere’s Kitchen at Shanghai Disneyland or sail away with Disney Cruise Line for a taste of Lumiere’s on the Disney Magic. At Disneyland park, Fantasyland has transformed with limited-time offerings inspired by the movie, including treats at Red Rose Taverne. Try the Grey Stuff – it’s delicious! This spring, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel will also offer afternoon tea and pastries themed to the iconic tale.
Of course, no visit is complete without a glimpse of Belle herself. She makes a point of stopping by all of our parks, including Disneyland Paris in her native France. You might even spot Gaston near his tavern in Magic Kingdom Park or catch him when he’s at Disneyland park, walking through Fantasyland trying to impress the ladies.

As we continue to expand across the globe, we’re looking for even more ways to bring this beloved fairytale to life. Starting in November, Disney Cruise Line guests can enjoy a brand new musical production inspired by the live-action “Beauty and the Beast” on board the Disney Dream. Fans will also be able to climb aboard “enchanted dishes” and break the spell at Beast’s Castle in a new “Beauty and the Beast” themed area coming to Tokyo Disneyland as part of its Fantasyland expansion.
We’ve also just announced the chance to embark on a real-life journey that celebrates the inspiration behind “Beauty and the Beast” during Adventures by Disney Rhine River Cruises next year. You can visit a French village that inspired Belle’s small provincial town, belt out your favorite songs at karaoke nights, attend cooking classes, and enjoy screenings of both the animated feature and live-action film.
With so many ways to experience “Beauty and the Beast” at Disney Parks and Resorts, what are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments below.

Pirate Treasure Inspires 50th Anniversary Collection For Beloved Swashbuckling Voyage at Disneyland Park #115

The beloved swashbuckling voyage to a long forgotten time when pirates wrought havoc on the high seas celebrates its 50th anniversary this year at Disneyland Resort. The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction opened on March 18, 1967, in New Orleans Square, and quickly became an instant classic. To celebrate this milestone anniversary, we are releasing commemorative apparel and collectible pins this month in Disneyland park. I recently spoke with Graphic Designer Quynh Kimball, an 18-year Cast Member who works for Disney Design Group, about the inspiration behind the pin collection.
“We wondered what kind of pins would be released if Disney Pin Trading had been available in 1967,” explained Quynh. “The merchandising team and I watched the ‘Wonderful World of Disney’ opening day television special. We loved seeing pirates invading New Orleans Square to officially open the attraction. I could only imagine the delight guests felt as they experienced for the first time what have become iconic Disney attraction scenes. We included several of those scenes in the pin designs.”

Guests will find several individual limited edition pins, each with an edition size of 2,500. The individual limited edition pins will also be offered in a boxed set containing one completer pin (500 edition size).

“My favorite scenes include the man playing a banjo on his porch and the plunge down two waterfalls into Dead Man’s Cove,” said Quynh. “I thought the treasure chests with colorful gems were a great nod to the pirates in the latter scene. Those pirates are frozen in time and will never take home those chests filled with jewels, but our guests can with these pins [laughs].”

In addition to pins, guests will find two commemorative “I Was There” shirts.
One shirt was designed specifically for Annual Passholders, who may also find a collectible limited edition pin (3,000 edition size). Passholders should present a valid Annual Pass in order to purchase the exclusive shirt and pin.

The limited edition pins, Annual Passholder pin, and boxed pin set will be released on March 16 in the following Disneyland park locations: Westward Ho located in Frontierland; 20th Century Music Co. on Main Street, U.S.A.; and Little Green Store Command in Tomorrowland. Guests may also find these items at Disney’s Pin Traders in Downtown Disney District.

The “I Was There” Shirts will be offered in both Disneyana on Main Street, U.S.A., and Pieces of Eight in New Orleans Square on March 18. Guests may also find a version of the red-colored shirt via DisneyStore.com/ParkEvents from March 20-26. Please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.

The park also offered a Pirates 50th anniversary Stein, it sold out by noon on Thursday, but will be restocked Today on the Anniversary of the ride POTC.
I want to thank Steven Miller of Disney Parks Blog, for sharing this.
